Proud father and his son!

This online memorial was created in loving memory of Clifton Lord, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website. Please sign Clifton's guest book and let us know you came to visit. We will remember Clifton forever.

Clifton was the 6th child of Walter Sr. and Etta Mae Lord.  Clifton and Timothy Lord were born in the same year of 1962.  Walter and Etta were very loving and god fearing parents that lost their youngest child Gilbert before his 5th birthday. This made Clifton the youngest child in our family of six kids. Clifton enjoyed playing and doing various activities outside. He became a good hunter and trapper as he grew older. He was kind of a wild man in his younger years and could be stubborn and abnoxious sometimes. Clifton and I both enjoyed exercise and sports. Cliffy became good at boxing and won a rough house boxing title in the 1980's winning both money and a trophy.  I was proud of him for doing so well. Unfortunately, he's spend his money quickly partying.  He finally settled down with Marcella from Venetie and had a nice family.  I will always have good memories of him competing in native games and being a good boxer.  We didn't always get along but I loved his desire to be a winner.  I will miss you Clifton.   I know that my younger brother lived a rough life but he lived it his way!

Two brothers with a drive to win!

I sparred with Clifton and his dad taught him how to box and avoid being hit! Walter Sr.was so proud of Clifton when he won. I was happy to see him beat his competition. I am sure that Cliffy was elated with his win and prize money as well.  Clifton is survived by his older siblings. Tina Sullens who resides in Nikiski, Alaska; Walter Lord Jr. who bought dad's house on Park Drive in Fairbanks, Alaska; and Homer Lord in Broomfield, Colorado. Clifton joins baby Gilbert, Timothy, and Melinda plus both parents Etta Mae Lord (Leavitt) and Walter Lord Sr. in heaven. He'd tell some good jokes or stories from time to time. Like when this bear attacked him and his rifle was jammed. I asked him what happened with you and that bear and he said he died.  You know it was a TALL tale as he would laugh about it. I am sure that his wife Marcella Lord and their children will miss Clifton a bunch. He will be laid to rest in Venetie, Alaska. You will live on in the hearts and minds of your family and friends brother! Plus, I am hoping our family is in heaven with you now.

Clifton hunting with his two sons

Clifton G. Lord will live on in our hearts and minds. He lived his life his way. He loved to hunt and fish plus spend time with his family. Clifton was the 6th child of Walter & Etta Lord and a grandson to Gilbert and Meda Lord. He joins his father Walter Sr, Etta (mom), Timothy, Gilbert and his sister Melinda in paradise. His wife Marcella plus Clifton had three children who were Clifton Jr, Jordan, and Melinda (his pride and joy). He is buried in the village of Venetie near his his home in Alaska. We will miss Clifton but someday we will join him and other family in heaven. I know the people in the village of Venetie, Alaska cared for him and were glad to have Clifton there. I am W & E's third child, his brother Homer "Homz" Lord. Tina and Walter Jr. still survive as well.
